Music Education Testimonials
"Reuben is LOVING his piano lessons now! He only said yesterday that he doesn’t mind doing his practice because he gets praised and makes progress with his playing!"
"My son has singing lessons from IMM as part of his school curriculum and he really enjoys these…..no problem getting him to go to school on Fridays!! We would thoroughly recommend IMM to anyone who is thinking of having piano or singing lessons."
"IMM is such an amazing company to be part of! My best days are when I am having singing lessons with Naomi, Theory lessons with Pip and Piano with Becky!! They are always so positive and kind - I'm lucky to have them as my teachers."
"Naomi and Pip are very experienced and inspirational teachers. They come with a wealth of experience and an abundance of energy and enthusiasm. My daughter has Singing and Piano lessons with Naomi, she has gained so much self confidence since having these lessons as well as performance skills. I can thoroughly recommend them."
"My daughter has been learning to play the piano with Becky for 4 terms now. It has been lovely to find a tutor who comes to our house making life much easier. She teaches with patience and enthusiasm and the lessons are tailored to my daughter's needs, based around music she likes. Communication with IMM and myself is good and organising and paying for lessons is easy. If you are looking for individual tuition for your child, I would recommend this service."
"Our 15 year old daughter has Autism where she predominately struggles with expressive communication & processing of information. Her teenage years have not been an easy transition, anxiety being a main element which had lead her to isolation in all forms and pretty much shut down! Supporting her through these difficult times we explored channels which gave her most comfort and reassurance and Music was identified to be the main focus. She expressed that she would like to learn to play the piano. We explored this opportunity and found 'IMM' which have been amazing in all forms. Naomi & Pip listened to our daughter's individual needs and were able to offer tailored Piano Lessons which met my daughter's overall needs. A Piano teacher (Becky) was assigned and a meet and greet was a crucial aspect prior to commencing the lessons at home. Becky is professional and has exceptional qualities of empathy, understanding and commitment where our daughter has been able to build on their relationship and form the most important element of 'Trust'! Our daughter has been receiving weekly Piano Lessons which we all feel has been a major support strategy in helping to build self confidence, sense of purpose, life goals, positive experiences, explore alternative ways of interaction and expression and over all self-achieve which is fab for her overall moral.
We can not thank 'IMM' enough!"

Bumps to Boppers Testimonials
"We really enjoyed the group. It was lovely being in a smaller class with activities led by someone as opposed to a toddler group where its a bit of a bun fight. We feel like we've found a little treasure there!"
"My baby is mesmerised by Jess - she can't take her eyes off her and is always zonked out for ages after the class! We love it!"
Health and Well-Being Testimonials
Moira Whitlock - Ward Sister - Donald Wilson Rehabilitation Unit, St Richard's Hospital
" My patients are the most important part of my job as a nurse / ward sister on a
Neurological Rehabilitation Unit. We take patients from 18 onwards and I am
always looking for ways to improve, engage and stimulate my patients without it
being a task and a need. Strokes are like thieves; they creep in and take what is important to you and leave you with the sense of loss, disorientation and 'Who am I?' Music and Movement has
brought such pleasure to my patients it makes them smile and allows them to participate within a group of people who all have similar problems and worries and bit by bit it makes my patients feel special. The music is so well thought out, the activities are fun and staff and patients participate, but most important is that no one feels embarrassed."
Quotes from patients...
"I found myself so enjoying the activity and the music that I did not realise that I was standing without the use of my quad stick and able to do the moves! Naomi and Pip should be on prescription!"
"Having been in hospital for 7 months I felt so useless and had nothing to smile about. I had no motivation and felt rubbish - this has given me back my love of music. I used to look around at the other patients and think 'I am different from you,' but, being in this group has made me realise that we are the same and have the same worries, but for that hour we can enjoy and even laugh at one another whilst working out, if that makes sense? It's kind of bonding and we have started talking to one another at meal times as we are no longer patients and a bed number".
"My arm felt a tingle and vibration when doing the guitar thing and it made me jump as I thought I had no feeling in it?"
"At first I did not want to go as I thought I would be expected to sing and don't like singing, I am glad I went as it was fun and I laughed as we all kept dropping the balls"
"As a day patient I so enjoy the music and movement, the music choice is such fun and because of this it gave me the confidence to go to a dance and even though I do have weakness in my arm and leg I was able to Salsa and had a great time."
" This is so much better than Physio"
From an Occupational Therapist ...
" Pip and Naomi inject such fun into Rehab and the patients are working hard in all areas but with such enthusiasm and a smile".
From a Healthcare Assistant...
" It's great therapy without feeling like a task, the music is for everyone, the sessions are so well planned and thought out and the laughter is priceless."

Testimonial from Jo Hamilton...
This group for me has been pivotal in my recovery. When I first went along I could lift one arm only but loved the music and the smiling faces of other patients and staff around me. It made me realise that there was life after a brain injury. As the weeks progressed I could do more and more and it became a weekly barometer of my progress. I would look at the outpatients standing and think I WILL do that one day!! I also found that I was doing movements, especially with my arm, without thinking about it. It was like an extra therapy session for me. Now I am one of the people standing and I look around at the others and remember where I started from. I still really enjoy the group and love the enthusiasm of the leaders and staff. It is one hour a week where you can forget your problems, It's amazing! I am very pleased to have had the chance to join in, not to mention the different instruments that I have tried!!!!
